Our summer was complex, extremely busy, yet blessed in so many ways. We’ve seen God changing lives and the small seeds planted to multiply beyond anything we can imagine. The Lord always starts in small, but He always multiplies our efforts. Below are three short stories to prove that…
Multiplication story #1: Shawn in FL
Shawn came to one of our ‘Sent 6:7’ training 2.5 years ago. He is the outreach pastor of a large church in Florida. He wanted to learn how to equip his people to do evangelism in our changing culture. Once we’ve trained him and helped hosting several trainings and follow-up opportunities for his congregation, Shawn started to put into practice all he has learned.
In the past 2.5 years Shawn trained and equipped 9 other leaders who are each trained and are leading 12 other leaders. That totals 108 leaders who are now leading 108 groups that are started to do evangelism and live on mission. Since they went through our ‘Sent 6:7’ process, they have planted 2 new churches.
The Lord always starts in small: one equipped and envisioned leader, Shawn, multiplied to 108 other leaders and reached thousands of people with the gospel as they have equipped and mobilized hundreds of believers. We are thrilled that God is now calling Shawn to join our team full-time and work with us in Church Movements!
Multiplication story #2: YTL in Jamaica
We are blown away how God continues to use YTL. Recently Edina and I had been approached by some leaders from Jamaica. Their government would be interested to use our character and relationship-building program we’ve launched in 1994 in Hungary. They’ve asked us to host a training for educators in Jamaica. Due to our other commitments we were only able to do an online training. 55 Jamaican educators participated in this YTL symposium. Edina and I were presenting through online zoom while they were watching that on a big screen. Again, a small seed that was planted 29 years ago is now an opportunity for students to hear the gospel in another parts of the world.
Multiplication story #3: Growth of our team
Never in our wildest dream we’ve imagined that 6.5 years after we move to the U.S. our team would grow 5 times bigger. In 2017 with Dave and Karen Robinson we’ve launched this new division of Cru, called Church Movements with a small team of 20+ staff. God has multiplied our team to 112 staff serving in 67 cities in 22 States. We need your prayers as we prepare to host our National Staff Conference in November (from the 6th to the 10th) in San Antonio, TX. Pray for us as we lead, teach, encourage, envision, equip our staff. We need wisdom, courage, direction, strength and health from the Lord!
