Our ministry in the KC area has expanded to a great partnership with the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church. We regularly train their leaders and youth on evangelism and multiplication.

Opportunities beyond our limits

2020 was challenging. Yet God had been truly faithful as we sought to advance His Kingdom. We just can't ignore some of the things he has done.

  • Our staff and partners in Church Movements began 271 new faith communities60 of which are in a church-planting mode;

  • 2,088 people have been trained in Sent 6:7 (disciple-making pathway training) or The Changing Face of Evangelism for the Well-Being of the City (personal & comprehensive evangelism training);

  • and 208 leaders have entered a peer coaching circle for mutual encouragement and to increase their effectiveness in ministry.

  • One leader in southern Minnesota writes: “We are seeing attenders of our church realizing and processing that our church has had a paradigm shift towards becoming a ‘Prayer-Care-Share Movement.’ 33 leaders have been trained and 8 new house groups have formed.” Their goal is to have as many as 25 more house groups by May!

  • A Church Movements staff member in Atlanta told me: “It’s a slow process to change the culture, but pastors and leaders are catching the vision!” One pastor in his coaching group said, “This is just like a John Wesley group. I love it!” (referring to Sent 6:7’s emphasis on Bible, fellowship, training, accountability and mission). Together, these two men hope to use Sent 6:7 church wide – across a 400-member church to ensure evangelism, disciple-making and learning to love their communities.

  • We have grown in our digital mission space, too! Marilyn, who leads EveryPerson.com, tells us that almost 2 million visited our site, 34,000 expressed a personal interest to learn how to accept Christ.She saw 600 more people become “Findables” (now there are about 2000 findables in the US – leaders who help make Jesus more “findable” online to millions of others). Ahmed writes: “2020 has been full of challenges. But let me shock you: This is the best year I’ve ever spent on earth! This year I witnessed the construction of the bridge that linked me and my Maker. Now I can boldly define my joy and be the reality of God’s word.”
