A Gedeon Moment

A Gideon Moment

"Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few." (1Sam 14:6)

We never had a smaller team of American volunteers arrive for our week-long short-term mission project called "BHHP" which stand for: "Bringing in the Hungarian Harvest Project". The size of the team (11) was ⅓ of the usual number coming over for this project. YET we never saw greater results! We were in front  if 2,179 high school students in 22 schools in 5 days and over 300 students came to our two large outreach events. Your prayers had played a huge role in multiplying the effectiveness of this past week as we truly experienced a "Gideon Moment". THIS 3 MINUTES LONG VIDEO is an awesome testimony of how your prayers had been answered, please watch it here: http://youtu.be/Zunb3dvqgJw

Just a few highlights from this past week:

CLASSROOM LECTURES:

On this picture you can see one of the classroom lecture we had out of the hundreds in the 22 high schools we went to this week. Schools and students are so welcoming and open to have the YTL team. This creates a great opportunity to share Christ with them.

PERSONAL EVANGELISM:

After the classroom lectures we've invited students to meet with us at a pizza place where we were able to share the gospel with them. On this picture Gabor is sharing the gospel with 5 students. This conversation went really deep as we've started to discuss about their fears and pains.

RANDOM:

During this week of BHHP we spend the afternoon with sharing Christ at university campuses. The young guy on this picture next to the girl is a former muslim who after hearing the gospel indicated a decision to accept Christ as his Savior and Lord. Pray for the follow up as we will be meeting dozens of students in the coming weeks.

LARGE OUTREACH EVENTS:

we've invited every students we met with during this week's classrooms lectures to two major outreach events - one for university students and one for high schoolers. At both events the gospel were boldly and clearly presented and followed up in personal conversations after the events were over.

On a Personal Note...

It has been already more than 3 weeks since Rahel moved to London. Her school is absolutely phenomenal and she loves it! She found some very good churches and there is a strong Christian community in her university. However it's still emotionally a hard journey for her and for us as well to be separated. She expressed in many ways how much she loves being a part of our family and miss being at home. We can't be more thankful! We wrote her a "Farewell Letter" and we published that on our blog. If you are interested to know more deeply the process we are in, you can read that here: http://gaborgresz.wordpress.com/2014/10/09/farewell/

Edina and I are flying to New York to a conference called Movement Day to learn more about how the Body of Christ can work together to reach the large cities of the world. We will be gone between October 21-November 1. Please, pray for safety for the boys while Grandma is gonna come and will try to keep them in order :).

Your friendship, love and care is important to us!

Advancing the Kingdom of God together,

Gabor and Edina
